Herend
"Hungarian porcelain brand Herend is one of the most prestigious in the world, and its products adorn the windows of museums and private collections. Founded in 1826, the factory has established itself as a symbol of grace and beauty. Already in 1872, the manufactory was awarded the title of supplier to the Royal Court and began to produce goods for representatives of the reigning dynasties and aristocracy.
A huge success for the brand came after the World Exhibition in London, when Queen Victoria herself became interested in it. She ordered a porcelain set with a unique floral pattern and a butterfly. This pattern, which has become a kind of business card of Herend, was named in her honor.
A custom-made set of dishes for the Rothschild banker has become no less famous. Several branches of the baron's aristocratic family regularly turned to the company`s services, ordering canteens and tea sets. The factory`s products attracted not only royalty, such as the Emperor of Japan, the King of Thailand, the Sultan of Brunei and the Russian emperors, but also representatives of big business and the aristocracy.
The incomparable quality of the finest Herend porcelain, historical decals and forms, famous figurines and sculptures are something that can be inherited."
